I have noticed on ebay that some shops will sell new, brand named clothes but then say it is being sold without it's label? Does anyone know why? Are they selling fakes or stolen clothes? I saw a dress I really liked but did not buy it because how do I know it's not some kind of scam???

They remove the label because they don't have a license to sell that brand. A store gets permission to sell quantities of name brand merchandise. They aren't approved or hasn't paid to sell this product.

I was selling some designer stuff on there for a while from an overly-rich relative who cuts out her labels (whether she wears the clothes or not). I think she does it because she doesn't want anyone knowing the size...

Still, I highly doubt this is the case everywhere.

hmm could be but also some people are genuine. for example if the label is abit skratty someone may take it off, or if it has the price on it (they may be selling it for more than they bought it), or maybe its something someone did buy and took off the tags , then changed their mind. sometimes people pass used things off as brand new without tags when they have worn it a couple of times but dont want it to be seen as worn.

i understand that i look to ensure what style of clothing anybody is wearing, not because it extremely concerns, im purely curious to ensure what type of denims human beings placed on and stuff. Like i am going to develop into conscious of the manufacturers through the layout on the back wallet, too. yet I dont tihnk men extremely care what style a woman wears, except theyre like an extremely preppy guy or a jock, then they'd be in a position to inform or may care. wish this helps, it is purely my opinion

hong Kong knockoffs, its hard to prosecute people violating u.s. patent laws overseas. they make a product that looks just like what they make in the us and sell it cheap, watches and hand bags are very big money for them

I guess they cut out the tags sometimes to prevent you from returning it to the store.
