When you reach level 7 you have to start playing to deduct points? Would it work? How would the rules have to change - e.g. could people vote you as worst answer? Does anyone care?

That would make it more sporting! And people would probably put more careful thought into their answers if there was the possibility of a points deduction for worst answer.

Or how about this:
If you report people for abuse 1-5 times a week, you're a good citizen and you get a point or two for your vigilance. BUT - if you report abuse more than 5 times a week, you're a tattler, and you get a 5-point deduction!

I don't see that there is any real point to the point system. I just come on for the fun of it and don't really care all that much about the points other than not having a high enough level restricts the number of answers I can give.

Start asking questions, that will deduct points from you and then you wouldn't have points deducted from you because you are at level 7, you would be at level 6.

I care.

When we reach level seven I'd like to see Yahoo give the players a Mercedes Benz of their choice as long as it cost less than ninety thousand dollars. And the Player would be only
responsible for paying the taxes on said automobile.

Have a pleasant day.

I don't focus on the points too much. The points are worthless, I can't buy food with them...

...I am just here to have a bit of fun, read some fun stuff and share what little I know.

I think Yahoo will invent levels 7-20 before long to ensure that we're all so hooked and we won't log off!

Have you already reached level 7?

Is this why you're posting this question...in order to lose points?

;)

No I don't like it...you have worked hard for your points and don't want to lose them! And you would have to change the daily limits for questions answered, add points on when you were asking a question...seems messy!!

I think you should be able to deduct points if someone gives a wrong answer. You should have to submit proof as to why it was wrong.

Eventually, they'll have to extend the level up higher to, may be 20? Good enough, yes?
