Although many people have found out that they have HIV and/or AIDS through routine blood work, you should specifically request an HIV test, if you want to know weather or not you have been infected. Besides, if you are sexually active, it's the mature thing to do.
p.s. if you are in any kind of a sexual relationship, you should INSIST on your partner being tested as well.

You need HIV test and some people do not have symptom after 5 years I have read about it. Check on goggle search to know more about it, but any blood test is not showing.Good luck and now the medicine is very good and people do not loose their lives no more

The request for the blood test would have to specify HIV. For instance if the request was only for "fasting blood sugar" it would not show up, unless the laboratory did this routinely. A lot of blood donation services now screen donations automatically for HIV.

an ordinary blood test wont show or prove that you are positve with HIV.in fact you may indicate what kind of test you may undergo,you could know your creatinine,cholesterol,trigyceride... and so on and so forth....only an HIV test could determine if you have HIV

when you have a blood test yes it will show. Why are you trying to hide your condition? Do you intend to spread your disease to others?
