No. They have been a glam band and a christian band. poor mixture or to be the two one. I remember some years back, they have been enjoying right here in Tampa on the comparable time as Slayer. The media have been calling it: "Heaven or Hell- Your decision!" Slayer bought out and Stryper had like 9 human beings. I disagree approximately there no longer being any stable christian bands. Mortification and hardship are 2 great bands. verify them out fairly of Stryper.

To me, metal is all about anger. Angry riffs, angry beats, angry bass line, and angry vocals. ANGER. On the flip, Christian music, and the whole Cristian lifestyle, for that matter, is about peace and forgiveness and whatnot. Ergo (I love that word), Christian Metal is an oxymoron. I stand by that.
And I do not have a narrow view of metal. I am a metal head now, I was as a kid, and I will be til the day I die.

I kind of liked Whitecross better. I didn't like Michael Sweets high singing that much. Rex Carroll of Whitecross is just as good if not better on guitar than Oz Fox of Stryper.

No, they were terrible.
But Christian metal is not an oxymoron. Metal is a genre without lyrical/religious restrictions attached to it. Ever read the lyrics to Black Sabbath's "After Forever" song? Or heard any of Trouble's music? It surprises me that people still have such a narrow view of metal.
