Girls tend to take more care of their skin than boys but this isnt necessarily why we have softer skin. Genetics, hormones and the environment in which we live all affect our skin. Everyone can minimise the effects of these by exfoliating all over regularly (either with body scrubs or by body brushing), moisturising regularly and drinking plenty of water. Remember facial care and body care are different so always use products designed for your face on your face and those for the body on your body. Simple, no?!

It is hard to answer your question because how many people go around touching loads of men & women ? I myself only know the feel of my own skin & my boyfriend's. Actually not much difference between us , except I use body lotions and take great care of my skin , especially my face , and also my boyfriend is hairier than me.
If you go to Asia you will see it is very common for women to do hard physical jobs , even on building sites & highways , but especially in agriculture. In many societies women are still treated as pack horses. It is certainly untrue that men do all the hard work. If only !

Its a case of evolution. Men want younger women because they can have more babies with them (more fertile life left). Men throughout evolution have chosen women with thinner and therefore softer skins because these turn wrinkly quicker and therefore you can tell if she's been around a while. If a structurally weaker skin is still smooth you can tell that it is still young and therefore the wearer is still young. As a man is fertile throughout his life, women do not need this same mechanism as there is no use in preferring younger males.

it may have something to do with the products we use. Men are designed to be more rugged anyway as they were the hunters. But try using a nice body wash and moisturise your skin will be a soft as a peach before you know it.

I can't speak for everyone but I started moisturizing my entire body at a very early age. I get complimented no my skin all the time and I get mistaken for being much younger than I am. Men don't tend to moisturize. You really should. :)

Cause of evolution, men have always had the harder labouring jobs, mines, builders, grave diggers.
Woman in history and been household runners and so they
are just starting to get there hands dirty, hence the large amounts of moisturiser now need to compensate!

Women tend to look after their skin better than men. Women exfoliate and moisturise more.
