I need someone with first hand experience to enlighten me on rainfall for a trip to Bali and Java from last week of Oct to end of first week in Nov. I know its the begining of the rainy season but.
1. Is it alot?
2. At night mostly for short periods of time?
3. Or is it all day?
4. Heavy?
5 Does it disrupt road traffic?

The rainy season officialy starts in October, but the real downpour starts in November/December, thanks to globalwarming. When it rains, it usually rains all the way from morning till night, and it varies heavily. It can be bright and shiny one moment and rain the next. It's not very reliable.
And when it does rain, traffic gets amazingly bad in Jakarta (Java), but in Bali, it is not so bad cause there are less cars there.

October end is usually dry. Being a tropical island you can expect short showerbursts all year thru.
