4 kids at disney? nothing to do?? do you have admission tickets to Disney???? There is plenty to do at the resorts (you can go to do stuff at the other resorts, you are only "sleeping" at Pop Century. If you have never been, Pop Century is a fun place to stay. (I was there last year) There are plenty of pools, playgrounds, and walkways to explore. There is an arcade there (of course that will require some cash)
At the Pop, you can get a good view of the Illuminations fireworks show at Epcot. It is visible across the lake. Best view if from the '50s B & '50s C buildings-top floor.
At Fort Widlerness Resort, there is a petting zoo, and pony rides ($3). Free nightly campfires with Chip & Dale and Disney movies.
Your best bet is to invest in a Disney World guidebook from your local bookstore. (Some even have coupons for discounted miniature golf)
Have a great trip!

Well, Orlando, as a whole, can really take a few weeks pay if you know what I mean. But there are some ways to enjoy the sites without spending a lot of money. Here are some of my tips:
Add a trip to Siesta Key Beach to your itinerary. It is located in Sarasota, just south of Tampa and is about an hour and 40 minute drive from your resort. Siesta Key Beach is rated as one of Florida's best beaches. It has baby powder soft, pure white sand, soft waves so its great for families, and a great cabana area to grab lunch. Last time I visited, I packed a lunch for everyone in a desposible cooler that I purchased at the Wal Mart off 192.
The cooler comes into play again if you plan on visiting a Disney Water Park. These are the only Disney Parks which allow you to bring food inside, so take advantage! The food in these parks is not very good anyway. I only recommend the funnel cakes and donuts.
Visit the other disney Resorts! It's fun to just walk around and visit the other Resort's. For the Magic Kingdom Resorts, simply tell the gaurd at the shack that you are going there for dinner, or lunch and they will give you a temporary parking pass. Then visit the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and more!
Watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks for free! Drive over to the Magic Kingdom anytime around 8:30pm. There will be no one at the gaurd shack because it is so late in the day, so you won't have to pay for parking. Drive to the transportation and ticket center and park your car. Walk over to where you board the ferryboats. The fireworks have been starting, typically, at 9pm, so try to catch the ferry that leaves close to that time. Go aboard and head upstairs to the other side of the boat. Then relax and enjoy perfect seats for a free fireworks show! Simply take the ferryboat back and get in your car to head back to your Resort.
Window shop at Downtown Disney Marketplace
Visit Kennedy Space Center out by Cocoa Beach! The admission price isn't bad and it's a great experience!

Cocoa Beach is about 40 minute drive to the east and Clearwater Beach is about 95 minutes to the gulf. Tour Kennedy Space Center. Or hang out on the gulf coast barrier islands like Indian Rocks Beach, Redington Shores, Madeira "Mad" Beach, Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach. Excellent seafood restaurants and live music at the dozens of beach bars 7 days a week!
I lived on the gulf coast for 6 years and miss the parties!

Cheap is not an operative word at Disney. Will not see those
two words in same sentence. Disney USED to be reasonable
in the 70's. Not cheap..... reasonable. The least expensive thing
to eat in the park is a $4 hot dog. Unfortunately, even local carny
amusement parks cost nowadays. If you have no kids, you can bring your own food, and same a bit, but you might feel stupid
carrying it around in a fanny pac all day. You'll need to at least buy $5 cold water or soda with the fanny pac food that will be gross and smooshed by the time you open it. Orlando in general
is pricy. It is a giant magnet looking to suck up every silver coin
you have. better to check out a national park or anything nature-y
to save money.

Nothing cheap at Disney very expensive. But there are lots of things to do in florida that are not as expensive. Look around, get travel information on the internet, etc. Look for coupons etc.
