The actual weight of aquarium will depend on the type of material used. Glass tanks are twice as heavy as acrylic tanks. An empty 10 gallon glass aquarium weights over 13 lbs. Regardless of the material the tank is made of, the real problem comes into play when it is filled with water. Water is a weighty material, adding over 8 pounds per gallon to your aquarium. In addtion to the water, you'll be adding substrate for the bottom, which is also heavy. The weight of an 10 gallon glass tank soars from 13 pounds to well over 100 pounds when it is filled with water and gravel.

I'm not to sure how much a 10 gallon tank weighs but I do know a gallon of water weighs 10 pounds. So you are looking at 100 pounds right there. Then the subtrate is one pound per gallon so right there is 10 pounds... But with the subtrate in there you aren't really putting in 10 gallons because the stones also take up room... But you are at least looking at around 110 pounds.

probably 100 lbs. 10 gallons = 80 lbs, 10lbs of rock, probably 10lbs or so in the tank weight

Well, the glass aquarium wieghs about 5lb, the water weighs 10lb per gal, and you use about 10lb of gravel for that size aquarium, so about 115, more or less.
