eBayers even sell porn and when you report them nothing gets done as they change their name and details and set up with a new name.
It is unfair that people get away with it. I'm surprised no one has mentioned how the people in the sweatshops work for very little to make Nike trainers.

Probably because it is too hard to track them down. They can easily open another ebay account and sell under that. For the police to do something like that is not only costly as well but they seem to have the notion that "there are better things to do." In addition, on any ebay transaction(s), we are warned of the risk, so there is fair warning. It is our responsibility to see to it that we find a good, reliable seller, purchase insurance, etc. It may not be fair but life is rarely fair.

To much hassle and work for the police and fraud squad to investigate as they are too busy hiding in bushes and un-marked vans armed with a speed gun to persecute the motorist. Easy peasy, they have a seat, you drive by, CLICK, job done, another £80 in the coffers.
As for ebay, well, they will take their selling fees no matter what is being sold. Its about money at the end of the day I suppose.

If Nike have signed up with Ebay, they will ahve the items pulled, but its possible to report the sellers through the Ebay systems. I am getting fwed up with being approached by sellers from China who are wanting me to buy their crap products, cheap copies etc but have so many emailing, I've given up reporting them

Are you sure they are fake? Can you prove it?
Most people put the starting price down low, to attract more bidders! Its how the whole system works!

do people still really think nike air are fashionable? hello! I wouldn't be able to give them away in my boutique, anyway, presumably if the culprits are wearing trainers they'd be difficult to catch as they'd be running too fast :)

they are selling them for money and because they can. don't like it don't buy it. why the police arnt doing anything is because the original selling party will probably be out of country and immune to your criminal laws. so they are pretty much untouchable.

Purely because they can. Some people can't afford expensive shoes so they may want to buy cheaper versions.
