Hello!! :o) The fear of silence [I believe] comes from the 'fact' that the only 'sound' one can NOT tune out - is the 'sound' coming from ones own conscience. Many of us desperately try to drown out that 'little voice from within' because IT is trying to tell us something that we don't want to hear. Things like, "You shouldn't be doing that" - or - "You owe someone an apology", etc. The more guilt a person has - the more noise they like. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

I love silence. It allows me to concentrate on studies when I am doing that - without aural distractions. I love music too, but all of only one would make life boring.
