I guess I'm in the minority. I have never seen "The Notebook" nor do I have any plans to see it. As a general rule, I don't like chick flicks because they are way too unrealistic . . . I might as well watch soap operas (yeah, that'll happen). I prefer horror, sci-fi, drama, action, comedy, you get the idea.
The problem with most relationships is that women get these ideas from chick flicks about how life should be. When they discover that life isn't anything like it is in the movies, they then have a tendency to become rather bitter and controlling. Go figure.

Not every girl likes the Notebook.
I don't like romance movies. Give me a good horror movie any day. The romance movies are way over rated.

I wouldn't say all girls like the movie, but most probably do because it's a touching epic romance story. I personally didn't like it, and it's not because I'm a guy. It's because I'm a critic when it comes to movies. I would love to meet a girl who didn't like it haha.

The movie portrays the enduring love this man has showed for his wife, and the pain he puts himself through everyday just to express that love for her whether she knows it or not. What woman doesn't want a man to feel that way for her?
