The sketch with the well to do country lady who vomits whenever she meets blacks, asians or gays I think is hillarious and not offensive whatsoever. I think it's making fun of the absolutely absurd bigotry of some people. However I heard there was uproar and they were accused of being racist. What I want to know is, do the groups this racist act is supposedly offending actually find it racist or do they get the joke?

I get the joke, it was funny at first, but now its very very tired. And a little vulgar. The first series was funny when it came out because it was witty. Now its full of one liners and cheap gags. Its having a bash at Daily Mail-reading middle England, but, in my opinion, its a bit like shooting fish in a barrel.

Agree with the gay guy, some of the jokes are getting very repetitive and boring now. I'm white and think Goodness Gracious me is hillarious, and thats Asians making fun of their own and white culture. Comedy by it's nature is going to offend some one, we all have different views on what is funny. I personally do not find Benny Hill or Bernard Manning funny in the slightest, and would consider Bernard Manning a racist. Billy Connelly has me in stiches, but why does he use the F word so often??? Will be interesting to here views from thoses targetted

I don't think anyone gay will have any problem with it as Matt Lucas himself is gay.
I think anyone can be accused of being racist these days - a guy on radio 4 last year was called a racist by using the word niggard because it sounds a bit like n*gger. This sort of thing is so weak - like a blackboard in a classroom is racist and now is called a chalkboard.

I'm gay and I think it's not offensive (there's no complaining in the 'community'). I just think they should come up with some new jokes (they kinda repeat the same 8 jokes over and over and over again).

You have to realise that minority groups always have a chip on their shoulder. They will cry out at anything if they think that they will be listened to.
