I got seriously messed up over this once in college, spent three days furiously scribbling over it, exploring this aspect and that philosophy and this persepective and that idea. Came to the conclusion that I didn't care anymore, went out and bought myself a grilled-chicken omelette, and that was the end of that.
I believe that the eggs went into the pan before the chicken, if that helps.

It is not important to know which one came first, why human care about this question if they still eating chicken and egg? curiosity is curiosity, but how many chicken had been killed everyday, its another issue.
