This is an area in the Atlantic Ocean bounded roughly by Miami, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico where legend says many people, ships, and planes have mysteriously vanished.
The source gives some of the legends or stories. Whether or not these events in fact happened has not been verified.

The Bermuda Triangle is a location commonly thought of as a place where things disappear. It has also gone by the name Devil's Triangle From Miami, Florida to Bermuda Island to a point just north of Puerto Rico is the common thought of the location of the triangle.
Things are thought to get lost there because of one man's documentation that has been sensationalized. Planes and Ships both have experienced magnetic disrruptions that have upset the balance of their compasses.
There is a theory that has been accepted to the main stream populace that the bermuda triangle is an area that is populated with pockets under the bed of the ocean that collects gas. When the gas reaches a certain pressure it releases from its trappings and rushes to the surface. If this gas is high in metal or magnetic elements, it is possible to upset the magnetic compasses and/or electronic equipment aboard these crafts.
It is important to note that Lords of London would not insure ships that filed a course with their insurance company that took them through these strange waters at one point in time. I do not believe that is the case in today's world, but it is a point of recognition.

That's just folklore. Every now and then a ship goes down somewhere in the world, so if you wanted to, you could make a case for a mysterious "triangle" almost anywhere. Someone did just that for the area between Florida and Bermuda, but it's meaningless. Don't be suckered in by every weird thing you read. Think critically.

It is an imaginary triangle in the Atlantic/Caribbean area with Bermuda as one corner. Nothing really disappears when they "enter it" -- it's a myth.
Myths developed explaining "mysterious" disappearances, but the reality is they disappeared due to 1.) poor seamanship; 2.) they wanted to disappear; 3.) modern day pirates/drug runners, took over their yachts, etc. to use for illegal shipping and then sank the ships/boats afterwards; 4.) they didn't really disappear in that area but it made a good story.

There are not from now on disappearances of ships and planes interior the "Bermuda Triangle" than you may assume for the the section, given the size, climate, and the quantity of site visitors that passes by using it.

Everyday thousands of people cross the Bermuda triangle by sea / air . Nothing happens.
Some guys just exploited some incidents by twisting the facts - they earned fame and fortune. We get nuts!
