Usually foolish people cause no harm to other people.
Our thinking that they are foolish, and we look down upon them, or we ignore them, that is a grave injury. If they have the chance, or if we create a chance for them to enter a loving and respectful community, they may behave differently.

Treat him/her the way he/she should be treated - like a fool!
On a serious note, depends on what 'foolish' is all about. He/she could be ignorant, needs to know more and needed help; and be happy that he/she looked up to you and seek you always.

Keep your head down, do your job, move on. You should have enough to worry about taking care of yourself without thinking about anyone you work with.
