Why would you do this? For example, Yeah_Well, who keeps on answering my questions. I'm not going to go away, as I don't care about you. I don't even agree with any of your comments - you don't even know me in real life. But why keep up the constant buzz of crap?

Yes you would keep answering even if you don't like them to maybe, try to be-little their question or exploit their lack of knowledge or even just because you know the answer and want to share your wisdom..................................oh, and two points!!

If they have "said" something that really, really offends me or someone else, then I usually avoid them, but if it's a simple difference of opinion, or if they are just having a bad day, I let it slide. You attract more bees with sugar than you do with vinegar...

As far as someone answering your questions that you do not like, is there really anything that you can do about it? No, except bring the conflict out into the open, which causes even more problems.

I guess like most things you will have to ignore them, hope they get bored and go and pester someone else.

It would be good if you were able to block particular people from answering your questions and I am sure it would not be too difficult to do.

I suppose that the offer of points it too much for some people and they will answer anything and everything with drivel.

Well that's 2 more points.

Well, I tend to answer questions based on the value of the question itself, and not of the asker. Personally, perhaps there is some acute vindicative pleasure in answering a question of someone whom you dislike to prove a particular point... although I tend to avoid questions that are highly bigotted to the point where noticing it is a shame. Like questions where the person is not only ignorant, but willingly so, unwilling to have an open mind.... those questions are typically by askers whom I detest-- but sometimes... it's enjoyable to make a strong point through answering-- and sometimes it's just because the question is JUST THAT HORRIBLE that not answering it indignantly is not an option. Yeah, answering questions with a hint of sarcasm won't get you brownie, best answer points, but it's some profound satisfaction... to know you tried your best to explain your stance on particular issues...

But yeah. Generally, I answer ANY question that intrigues me-- or that I feel I am able to answer to the best of my ability, regardless of the asker. We're all working through screen-names anyway, so I typically don't remember which askers I detest and whatnot. Except for one particular asker whom repeatedly asks questions that, at one point i answered out of frustration, but it's gotten so beyond that that I just ignore those questions.

Ah, rambling. Sorry. Okay. Yes. Definitely if the question is one that I can reasonably respond to.

In your case... perhaps the aggressor is doing it because... y!answers is a means of escape-- to leave the stress of the "real world" behind to just hide behind a different persona, the one of your chosen screen name. So there's some safety in that, and in that they probably think it's stress-relieving to get people riled up. Like those sods who laugh at people who get angry or hurt (ugh I hate those sods)

How can you like or dislike the a person around here? By that person's picture or avatar? I answer questions I like, that means they aren't stupid or stuff like that....
But clearly you can start to know persons around here from the questions they ask...and some are mental cases!

Yeah, especially if they are racist. I have seen a number of posts in grooups that I like and they are written by complete idiots so I tell them exactly that.

There's not many folk I don't like.
But someone once answered my question with a pile of uncalled-for abuse which was nothing to do with the question (I_SAID_NO)
