If you like them back, then go with the flow. If you're not into that, then gently but firmly tell them 'thanks but no thanks'. If you don't KNOW for sure, then just wait and see. Don't do anything to encourage them, and they'll soon form a new crush.

On a lighter note, it might just be a little crush, and nothing "gay". It's not unusual for someone to emulate an individual that they admire (for style, personality, flair, skills, etc.) and want to hang out with them. After all, imitation is the highest form of flattery!

Take it as a complement and thank them. Then, based on whichever way you swing, or your sexual preference or orientation, and whether you are attracted to that person or not, spend a few minutes exploring what they want.

If you are straight, this may be scary, especially if this has never happened before. Try to be understanding and let the person know you don't go that way. But thank them anyway.

If you are gay, well, you probably know what to do, but maybe not. Maybe you are new at this. Act just like you would if you were straight and someone of the opposite sex came on to you. Let the person know you are interested or not interested but thank them.

If you are homophobic. Deal with it. It does not rub off and is not contagious.

You should tell them that you are flattered that they like you. Then you should tell them if you are interested in them or not. Be honest, but considerate of their feelings. I would treat it the same way as someone as the opposite sex expressing that they were interested.

Make it clear that my interest is in the other sex. Of course, I say it in a very polite way.

likes as in friendly . . .? accept it whole heartedly.

likes as in being sexual and commitment... depends on individual and no harm in accepting it if it dont give rise to ''complications" and too dominating.

like being casual before being steady and serious stuff?
