* Right mouse click on it and ensure "lock the taskbar" is unticked.
* Left click and hold on a clear area of the task bar and drag to the bottom
* Now Right click again and this time select "lock the taskbar" so that is doesn't move *by itself* again...

Left-click and hold on the task bar (the bar showing the programs) and drag it back down to the bottom.

Click on it (in a blank bit), hold down the mouse and drag it towards the bottom of the screen .. its a little tricky and some movements dont work so persevere and you will get it back down there.

It is likely that you did it by accident when clicking and dragging something else.

Yup...just left click n hold down the button....drag the nouse to bottom..then let go.If it doesn't work it means your taskbar is locked, in this case right click the taskbar, and in the window that pops open just make sure there is no tick next to.."lock the task bar"

take your mouse pointer to the bar. press your left mouse button while the arrow points over the bar. move your mouse downwards, so the bar will move back to its original position. Once it is back in position, right click on it, and select "lock the Task bar" It will keep it in its place.
