You'll have to use a high heat type of paint, such as:

I would in your case just suggest replacing the rings. You can get them at Lowes or Home Depot for about $2 to $5 each depending on the size you want. Below is Lowe's link:

The rings can't be painted, they are coated with a special enamel. That is done in factories. Better buy new rings or a new cooker coz it's not that expensive...

Hi,
There is a paint called Pot Belly Black. I used it to paint "the heat out vents" on my gas heater and it really works. It is a self-priming paint designed for metal surfaces subject to radiant heat.
Here is there site

Please keep in mind that the white knight site is an Australian based site, It most likely be called a slightly different name where you live.

I've heard of such a thing as appliance paint which is more durable than reqular spray paint. You may not want to paint anything that gets extremely hot as it may cause dangerous fumes

Lowes or any store like that has hot temperature paint. There is paint for bbq's and such usually on the bottom aisles.

the rings are chromed or enamelled so i doubt even if you buy high heat paint from your hardware store it will last or bond to the rings. If they of the type you can remove suggest buying new ones

The "elements" are inexpensive enough to replace, and no paint you can apply will give long term, satisfactory results...IT"S FIRE!!! Even with electric.
