It means a couple of things it means a very sad time for the united states tragedy and it was also my dad's birthday, 9/11 will always be a sad tragedy for the united states who lives were lost and it means we better wake up and get ready for the next tragedy that is being planned. I hope not, but, the way it is going it is only a matter of time, I just hope we are ready and we are alert and we are prepared.

It was the day the United States was attacked on its homeland by a foreign adversary for the first time since Pancho Villa raided Columbus, N.M. in 1916, with far more serious consequences.

Unlike the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan on 12\7, this attack was intended to be destructive to the United States, not to neutralize us as a regional power. (Japan attacked the Pacific Fleet to allow it to conquer regions of the Pacific Rim, which it saw as essential to its future Empire.)

9\11 was carried out by militants who wanted to destroy our country and ultimately our civilization. It was a vicious, cowardly attack and all Americans and all free people should remember that this enemy has not been eliminated yet.

I have every confidence it will be.

It means the most horrible disastre to happen outside of a war!.So many victims and yet no real answers to so many questions about finding out what should be known in truth, nothing but the truth!!!After five years, there is still a lot we don't know, undetstand, and will probably never know. What a waste of human lives! What a shame!

Sad to say, 9/11 will always be equated with the loss of many lives and the destruction of many families. It will always generate a feeling of insecurity and because of such, none of our lives will ever be "normal" as it was pre-9/11. It will remind me how fragile life is and that because of other entities larger than me, our children and loved ones will and have died to fight a war that many of us will never really know the real reason behind it. Sure, we may speculate and some may think they have the inside story, but Bush REALLY knows. Funny isn't? Did we ever hear of any of his family members going to fight in the war? His girls are old enough and the war is fought by both men and women. You'd think he'd sacrifice them as he has others. But he couldn't stand the loss of one of his OWN! It also leaves me wondering what's going to happen next in the demented minds of our great leaders and how many more of our loved ones will be the sacrificial lambs...

Five years has went by since the cowards from Iraq attacked the United States. They invaded and killed a lot of our own and we still have not caught the bastard yet. It means that it can happen again if we don't get every last one of those militants. God Bless Our Troops and may they all come home safely.

9/11 means to me that there are 2 ideologies at work right now in the world that are completely opposite from one another. One is an ideology of capitalism, personal freedom, separation of church and state, the ability to live ones life as one chooses, to sum it up. The other is one of fear, dictatorships, religious fanatic, abusive to women and children, killing innocents to get what you want and trying to impose your religious beliefs to the rest of the world. I pray to God every day the first one wins.
