Personally I love basketball the most. But saying it as the best sport..it is hard. Coz every sports are different and there is no a standard comparing them. It's just based on personal preference and opinion. And I view is as below.
I love basketball the most coz there are more actions on the count. Golf is too peaceful and boring to me. I don't like wearing polo shirt. So, I don't want to watch player wearing polo shirts on the golf course. I see people who has belly not really an athele.
Baseball is dragging too long and I don't like to idolize players who eating sunflower seeds and split them on floor. Try to image basketball players like MJ. Your impression of him is rich, intelligent, business owner, world icon.
Football seems require less skill than basketball. Basically, as long as you are buff and can run straight..that's almost it. Although there still are strategy in the game, I think basketball still requires players to use more brain. 3 seconds on the court can make a lot of miracle happen!
Hockey ..not to mention it. I feel players are like Barbarian. Long hair, play dirty, always seeing them fighting each other on highlights, no teeth. Grrr

Although I hate basketball, you would have to consider it one of the greatest sports ever invented. It is right up there in popularity behind baseball, football, and soccer.
