Why do Chinese/Japanese women use white lotion/cream when they r already white? How white they wanne be?

Human being seldom satisfy with present, its in the nature, to strive for more and looking for improvement. Caz even the best can be improved.
By the way i don't like girls with so white complexion.

its the reverse. the whiter they are, the better! whiter skin is always equated with beauty in asia. sometimes, women think that it separates them from the other people, they want to look more western or showing others that they are on a different class. some are just vain! they have different reasons. little girls when watching tv, a lot of advertisements have models who got fairer skin. so when they grow up, it gives them the idea that being beautiful is to be whiter. everywhere in asia, whitening creams/lotions are popular not only in japan and china.

I think you meant 'whitening' and beauty among different cultures varies. For example, in India, it is rare and beautiful when someone has light eyes [green]. Maybe Chinese/Japanese find it desirable to be whiter. The desirable 'look' is usually what is rarely seen in their race which surprises me because a lot of Japanese people have fair colored skin..-

Thai people do the same. But here's an intersting question, why do white people use tanning cream? I think nobody in this world is happy with himself...

Ladies love smooth and shiny skins and show off their skins. How white? Probably like a ghost.

It's more appealing in their culture to be white and pure in face. I think it descends from porcelain. Weird huh?? Porcelain dolls. Think porcelain dolls. Here's a bit of a cultural explanation but it originated with geishas i believe. They were prior to 1800.

they just want to maintain the whiteness on them... so that it will not be hurt by the sun and UV rays.. also .. by default.. their skin are white cos of the four seasons... but maybe in their eyes.. it is not white enough... so they want to be more white...

well when I was in the Philippines I heard that the women there want to lighten their skin too! They just find it more desireable-personally I thought they had beautiful skin.
