I cannot the comprehend how the gross marginalization gays have to suffer is in any cryptic sense in line with the spirit of religion.
Why is homosexuality so abhorred by Religion still?

Can you present a coherent argument proving the assumption that one's sexual preferences lessens one's faith in the Divine or aspirations to piety?
Myself am fully heterosexual, and a believer in God,muslim actually.

Thanks for your answers.

You must be talking about modern Christian faith, as Jesus himself never had any problem with it. Why? Because he was an enlightened man, and what mattered to him was the heart of a person and not his sexual preferences.

He looked for purity of heart and not for bigotry mimicking as surrender and piety.

As far as the modern bible is concerned it is mostly fudged document so are many religious texts all over the world, as they later became not chronicles of faith but also tools to manipulate and control the masses.

That is why, a true seeker always goes beyond tribal approach to religion and creates his own path based on what suits him best based on all religions or spiritual teachings that appeal to his soul, that is how modern religions are going to evolve and merge into a common spiritual path, unto the light that we are.

So don’t worry about others, they will come into the light in their own time.

The Bible states that the act of homosexual intercourse is wrong. However it does not state that because a person is a homosexual that they will go to hell. To the contrary, it says they can go to heaven.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. That whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Whosoever refers to anyone (gays, adulterers, thieves, killers, etc). Anyone who argues the contrary has many references in the Bible proving my point. Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, helped kill hundreds if not thousands of Jews. Moses killed an Egyptian. The Samaritan woman at the well was a whore. Mary Magdalene was filled with demons. Peter denied Christ three times. King David committed adultery and had the husband killed. King Saul consulted a witch. Noah was a drunkard. And these are many of the largest names in the Bible. Moses wrote the first five books.

Everyone knows that homosexuality is against Biblical teaching.

Your terms, "gross marginalization" and "cryptic sense", suggest to me that you are really asking about how homosexuals as a group suffer and struggle with the fact that they are gay and are ashamed of it, if they have religious beliefs.

Christian teaching does not hate homosexuals, it is the act or what they practice sexually that is abhorred. They CAN have a belief in GOD or the Divine, even as homosexuals, but suffer and are forced to take on guilt feelings due to religions who condemn them.

Jesus would pray for these people to turn away from their sin. He would NOT condemn them. He would welcome them with open arms and love.

If a homosexual is raised in a religious family, he will be made to feel guilt. Whether he brings it on himself (or herself). But if they are secure in their beliefs, there is no reason why they should turn away from their beliefs. (GOD or the Divine).
The guilt is all about sinning by their behavior, so that brings on the guilt feelings, which could cause them to turn away from their GOD or the Divine.

If they fully turn away from their beliefs, because they are not secure enough in them, it then lessens their faith. But that is their own choice. GOD or the Divine never abandons them.

Jesus was a man of love and wisdom who truly understood culture and preached loving kindness according to the beliefs of his day. He would today have accepted all forms of love as valid i believe and those rigid Christians out there who say it is a sin i say-your Christ would be so ashamed of your hate. You are all the moneylenders in the temple but you deal in love-giving to only some and taking from all. It is one sin to deal with decadent money in a sacred place, its quite another to deal a sacred love out in a decadent way. These other sexually orientated people are alive and breathe too and while they share your life in this world they WILL share your love (and vice versa) if you are all truly Children Of God. And this also goes for ALL the religions, ALL the world-as you all breathe the same air you will live the same life and share the same love. Remember this and be kinder to one another.

I'm not able to formulate a coherent argument in support of homosexuality jeopardizing one's faith. The only thing that I can say is that religion often motivates people by the fear of offending God, and any deviation from "normal" gets the "holier than thou" in full riot gear. It seems to be easier to threaten eternal damnation than to be understanding and accepting.

Sexual orientation and faith have nothing to do with each other. Faith and religion don't really have anything to do with each other. With regard to the views of most religions, sex in ANY form is considered evil and unclean and should be excluded from all religious or spiritual consideration.

The bible as we know it today condemns Homosexuality with the same disgust that it reserves for heterosexual sins (Adultery,Fornication) The bible calls it an abomination of the flesh. God gave us many things for pleasure, most of which he reserved only the union of two people in the confines of marriage and marriage was for the act of procreation,.

The simple argument is that God says it's wrong, so it's wrong and if you truly believe in Allaah and have submitted to him, that will suffice, because he knows best.
What really needs a coherent argument to support it is homosexuality.
Man, the world is upside down.

Anything that involves pleasure and doesn't involve God is frowned upon by any religion, including Islam and Christianity.
