It would be easier to ask if there is anything that the sun does NOT affect.
Keep in mind that the sun causes weather and supports (thorugh photosynthesis) the life cycle. Not to mention that without the sun, we would still be a nebula of space dust and would never have formed planets.
The real challenge will be to find any process/event/state that is NOT affected by the sun (either directly or indirectly).

Sun indirectly provides the energy for almost all life on earth.
Plants traps the energy and turns it into sugar via a process called 'photosynthesis'. Herbivorous animals obtain this energy by eating the plants and then carnivores eat the herbivores.

i dont think life is possible on earth without sun,cos the heat energy that we recieve 4m sun is very vital in our survival.plants take that energy and covert it to thier food though very less part of it is recieved by us,that's very effective.without sun the warmth is not there.watr we drink remains ice if warmth is not there.so there's no life at all if sun wasnt there.so sun is very important...
