How do I transfer downloaded movies to DVDs that will play on a normal DVD player? Downloaded movies are divx and avi.

There is a good free conversion program available through eRightSoft called SUPER. Works great no spyware or adware involved Any MPGI or MPGII file plays great on most DVD players

You have to convert them to VCD or SVCD format to be able to play on a home DVD player. You must also confirm your player can play video discs. You can burn VCD's and SVCD's onto CD's if they will fit, no need to waste blank DVD's. Do a google for converting to VCD for more info. Next time you download some get em in VCD format.

Don't bother, it's too much hassle. Just get a PS2. They can play anything, even broken DVDs.
