I think that the above info is not correct. It is more difficult to BOIL an egg at high altitudes because water will boil at a lower temperature, thus it takes a lot longer. I think that the speed of frying would be about the same--maybe even faster, and you might need to use a lower heat on the stove.
Can anyone with actual experience help us out here?

Altitude effects the pressure from gravity. By moving up a mountain, or otherwise increasing your altitude, you are slowly relieving that pressure, and the air becomes thinner. This reduces the heat required to boil water.
However, in the process, this means food actually cooks at a lower temperature. Therefore, it takes longer to cook the food.
