Someone very close to me is using contraceptive pills (I forget which brand) and recently she's noticed that her a*s is bleeding. Is this a side-effect of the pill or is it something else entirely?

No this is not a side effect from birth control pills. It can be something as simple as hemorrhoids,or something more serious let your Dr. know right away.Maybe if you have had anal sex you may have ripped some tissue inside.Don't get me wrong I'm not saying you've had anal sex,but it is a possibility.Make sure your Dr. knows right away.

I have never heard of this happening from a contraceptive pill. She should speak to her doctor about this as this is serious and needs medical attention.

The two aren't connected. She needs to see a doctor. She could have hemorrhoids, colon cancer or any number of different things wrong.

tell her in a respectful manner..... GET UR **** TO THE HOSPITAL!!!! thats not normal nor is could it be a side effect to contraceptive pills.
