I read both books but I also need your opinion on :What are the similarities and differences in Holden's and Christopher's physical and self journey to understand themselves?

physical:
they dont seem to be very similar, as Chris had to overcome himself to travel to his mom, remember he has an illness, while Holden was just an average teen boy. too average..

self:
now holdens 'journey' was overrated in my opinion. Every teen feels the same and does the sam, it was just shown in a bit dramatic way i guess. Chris wasnt even a teen, he's a child, so his self understanding is just a minimal excuse for teh 'journey'. Not the self is what he's trying to understand, but the world and the people that surround him, their actions, the motives of their actions.
