I mean, heterosexuals should only get that right because every heterosexual marriage is perfect and will last untill "death do you part." Honestly, i think hetero's don't want us to be able to get married because they are afraid that it's just one more thing we will be better at than them....

Beautiful, 100 percent dead on, we would be better at it, well at least the decor, the party, the honeymoon. Ok, all kidding aside, I don't know if we would be better at it than str8's but we can do no worse. Also, being hostile to str8 people is not the way to bridge the divide between us, instead we should show them, as many of us have already, that we can and do live in stable happy relationships. Only through deeds can a man truly be judged. Also, as a note to those who feel the need to denigrate, we must remember that they probably have never had to face the sting of discrimination or out right hate, so they are to be pitied and treated with understanding. We have many str8 allies who like us, believe in the struggle for equality. Look at nations such as Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Canada, they are already on board and South Africa in the fall. The dominoes of equality are beginning to fall.

Love the irony in your question, including the additional details. I always say that gay couples who have children must want those children 1000% because of all the hurdles, pain and suffering they must endure to have a child, adopted or born to them. I wish all children in this world were wanted 1000%.

p.s. Fabzta, evidently some things we can do better is spell, capitalize and punctuate. Better than you, at least - I would never generalize about all straight people in a hate-spewing way, like you do about all gay people.
Get a dictionary, or a clue.

Marriage should be taken out of the courts all together. It's a blending of church and state for the government to regulate who can marry. It should be a spiritual thing, not a legal thing.

The only reason they are involved is because they were dumb enough to entangle taxes breaks into marriage, and the medical insurance companies don't want to have to extend coverage.

I think it's total BS and if two people love each other (regardless of gender), then they should be allowed to marry.

My sister in law and her partner have been together for 25 years. I am not gay, and both my marriages failed. They also have 2 adult children, and neither one of them are gay or lesbian. I actually envy them sometimes, how they get along so well, and have been in such a loving, and healthy relationship for so long. I would have no problem with them getting married, or anyone else for that matter. I believe in equal rights for all.

i grew to become into stated to believe that marriage grew to become right into a union to maintain/preserve the kinfolk unit. a marriage between human beings of the comparable intercourse might desire to no longer try this till they might undertake outdoors their relationship. i'm no longer asserting the two is a bad subject.yet, in the event that they are allowed to get married, they might desire to be required to seek for a criminal & valid divorce basically like a heterosexual couple do while the relationship ends, as I study an editorial approximately somebody protesting that! additionally, I certainly have study that in the time of alot of similar intercourse marriages, the utilising tension isn't love, yet for coverage advantages.if it is so, i recognize a number of comparable intercourse human beings living mutually in the time of those economic no longer uncomplicated circumstances. might desire to they go forward and marry one yet another for coverage advantages? while does it end?

hey man ! You nearly had me jumping on my f*ck off button there with the heading! I agree with you fully. I personally think that the straights just don't want us to prove AGAIN that, we will do the 'marraige thing' better than them, just as we do with everything else. Once they learn how to do a marraige properly, then they can point fingers and restrict us.

We are more like straight people than we are different from them.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The more they get to know us, the more we share, the more they find us to be just like them. The only difference is who we love.

contrary to what one idiot mentioned above, we do not HATE straight people. but, considering what a "success" straight marriages tend to be, how could we do any worse? we'd probably do much better, actually. I don't see how it could possibly hurt anyone who is straight. the homophobes need to mind their own business and try to succeed in their OWN marriages.
