Listen, if you look at the people on here that are saying that the Moon LANDINGS, not just landing (there were 6 manned Moon missions), were faked they can't form a coherent sentence or spell with any accuracy anyway. These are uneducated, small-minded people who will believe anything that's thrown in front of them.

Since you are asking and not assuming, I will assume you have half a brain, unlike those who think we didn't get the Moon. The conspiracy theories are based upon very shaky foundations. Simple science can explain away every single Moon hoax theory without even flinching.

Please do not listen to those that can't seem to spell, much less come up with their own conclusions about things. I will tell you, for sure, with a guarantee stamped on every word I am about to say: We landed on the Moon. Not once, but 6 times. 12 men walked.

Tell me this, if they faked the first one... why would they go to ALL the trouble of faking 5 more? Seems a little ridiculous.

Also, which is more logical... Hundreds of thousands of NASA employees and contractors all in cohoots to deceive the American people. And the secret has been kept for 35 years? (Not even the U-2 or SR-71's were kept a secret that long)

Or, did we really go to the Moon?

....

FYI: We are working on the Ares I and V rockets that will return us to the Moon by about 2020 or so and begin our first steps towards putting a man on Mars.

Every reason used to promote this stupid conspiracy theory can be refuted.

The assumption that the flag waved for some time after it was planted because there was a breeze and therefore an atmosphere is bogus.
In fact still air would damp the oscillations of the cloth quite rapidly, but in a vacuum the only friction would come from the fibres of the flag so it carried on moving far longer than cloth in still air. It behaved quite naturally.

There are other idiotic claims about the multiple directions of the light and shadows in photographs, but these ignore the reflections from bright surfaces.

One could go on.

Yes it was for real . Some people were surprised that the Earth was so far advance in space technology that they reached the moon so quickly . WHO HELPED THE EARTH ? I bet the Aliens were keep-ing a close watch that night on possible suspects that night- WHO HELPED THE EARTH ? I believe that I was watched , and I was about 9-12 years old .

You heard wrong. See the source for really complete information about all the Moon landings. It has annotated transcripts of all radio conversations, thousands of photos, videos and other documents. All that could never have been faked.

Do you really think the Americans spent 4% of their entire nations budget for years to stage a fake landing.

It had to be real.

The rockets weren't *only* seen on TV. People gathered around Cape Canaveral to watch the launches--from a safe distance, of course. Locals would be able to tell it was a bigger rocket than usual (the Saturn V setup). So, at a minimum, the Apollo astronauts went into space.

And if you believe they did that, how much harder is it to believe they reached the moon?

Yes, I think that we have all heard that particular piece of conspiracy theory. Wouldn't the Russians have been at the front of the queue in exposing the Americans, if in fact, they had staged it.

It is very hard to comprehend. The Americans and the Russians were competing to be the first conquerors of space. The Russians were the first to put a man in space so the Americans had to respond by going one better. If it was for real why hasnt anyone been to the moon since?

Who are these fools that think things are conspiracies-moon landings-height of the cold war, russians monitoring every move of the space vehicle, faked landings, what a propaganda coup, wait no mention from our ruskie comrades, darn it those commies knew it was done. damn you, damn you all to hell

Surely it did happen. After all we saw it on television and the astronauts are trustworthy and they said it did. Why haven't we done it again? Because it would cost too much money and not confer an equivalent benefit.
