If they had a male organ, they would be male and not 'hijra', correct?!!
Probably you may not know what their anatomy is!
According to medical journals, the hijras are individuals whose sex chromosome (the X or Y) are either absent or have some interesting combination. So these individuals do not have a genitialia the way normal males and females do. Most of them do not have a penis so there is no question of castration. Some may or may not have testicles or may have only one testicle and so on.
As far as I know, the hijras live within their own group and may have their own reasons if they do practice castration.

Hijras are people who consider themselves as ladies rather than male.They like to live as female and not as males.They like wearing bra not vest and panties not underwear.So i dont think they need a male organ cauz females dont have them.They wax all their body hairs.Wear lipsticks,cutex,blush etc....
They r somewhat like crossdressers...
Though there is no logic in acting like an opposite sex for people who have the tendency to be the opposite sex it makes complete logic...
Not onlu in India but also in western countries there r hospitals where u can perform a sex change operation.And what do u think they do in a sex change operation??
1.Cut the male organ...
2.Enhance the breast region...
3.Artificial glands that would secrete female hormones...

the removal is done to make him a 100% hijra. And the hole of urinary system is made some bigger to be used as vigena..
