Many apes smile socially
In many other mammals, smiling is a sign of dominance "I'm cool, and I'm over here - Check my teeth!"

I've seen dogs smile, and Orangutans smile all the time. Go to the zoo and check it out.

Definitely dolphins and monkeys.
The shape of dolphins' mouth even when closed gives the impression that they are smiling... Sooo cute!!!!

Any animal can 'smile' but technically we can't really proove its a result of emotion...

dolphins and apes. Apes show anger by smiling and exposing their teeth and to show happiness they hide their teeth with their lips while smiling
