If he likes sports, surprise him with your town's tickets to the next event. If not, whatever his interests are, find a ticket to it . OR rent a limousine for the evening (I think the minimum is 3-4 hours). Have the limo come pick both of you up and take you to dinner. You wear something sexy and you all have a bit of a blast in the limo. This may spark up your relationship. But early that morning get a large Snickers bar, and sneak it in something he will look at before he leaves for work, like his car's dash, and put a note on it and the anniversary card and say, "just like this snickers is thick, solid, big, and sweet, just like you are baby. I want you TONIGHT, at XXX O'clock, in my bed and let ME show YOU how sweet I can be, caressing you and your candy."
That is sweet enough and provocative enough to keep his mind on you the rest of the day. Men seem to like the "physical, sexual aspect" of a relationship. That is simple enough, then the limo. It will be a night of rememberance.
OR surprise HIM with flowers, balloons and something he really likes. Have rose petals on the bed for HIM for a change. Then tell him you will do the performance tonight! SMILE
This will shock him so since you are the one who does not usually do this.
KEEP THE FIRE BURNING!!! I am a widow, but I STILL REMEMBER!!! laugh

If you both are a little adventorous, surprise him with a scenic ride in a small airplane. It costs around $200.00. That was my gift from husband on my 40th birthday. Okay, I must say that we haven't actually done it yet; it was very cloudy on the day of my birthday. I'd love to hear your experience if you try it. Happy Anniversary!

Here's the perfect thing: Call your local aviation school and ask about "Introductory flights", about $50. They'll take him up in a small plane and let him take over the controls for a few minutes, maybe even fly over your house. He'll be able to take some pictures, too. They last about half hour, and there is no pressure to persue it. Many people do it to get over their fear of flying, others to see if it's something they want to learn, while others do it just to do it. They understand it's not for everyone to learn, but they'll be happy to take him up. After all, it's a little money in their pockets, too.

A friend of mine got her husband one from Christmas. He loved it! That's all he talked about for a month!

try to give him surprises too, like for example you forget that it is your anniversary then you have an out of town appointment but when he come home you had already prepared a candlelight dinner with a match of sweet music while eating. tried to make the place more romantic and more seductive on the way you dress up

Surprise him with something that you know he loves...and he would never give himself. Like tickets to a special performance, or a vintage recording by his favorite musician, trip to someplace he always talks about but never goes to, or refurbish a photo- or give him a photo of you in a glamour shot. Whatever makes him feel intriqued... because there are things about him only you know.

what are his interests? what is your budget?

something romantic like a dinner at home that is like a restraunt meal and some nice wine or his fave drink.
((if you have kids send them to grandparents for the night))
this may sound corney but a box with cupons you have made up yourself that are for a variety of things like back rub, extra kisses,
breakfast in bed, think up little services for things you don't usually do like if it is his job to take the garbage out then you make a cupon for that. you can make as many as you want and this always works especially when the finances can't afford an expensive gift but you want to give more

You need not buy anything , but make it a memorable romantic evening as a suprise gift .
Cook delicious food , lay a table for two and have candle light dinner with him , before he comes , prepair everything for the eve , take shower , wear a nice sexy dress , welcome him with a welcome drink , let him join you at the table while soft music is on , spend time drinking and dancing then dinner and finally let time to take over the rest .

A brand new negligee, a quiet candle-lit dinner at home followed by a night of hot and feverish love-making that'll make his head smolder and smoke escape from his butt. He'll remember it from his wheelchair the next anniversary.

Lucky you! My hubby always forgets, or worse still, just doesn't bother!! How about one of those driving experiences where he can drive a cool car round a race track for the day??
