It would seem the statement means that the person does not want to see you but if just by coincidence he does, it is his greatest fear because he has no control over his need for you and will give up everything without thinking of wrong or right just to be with you. Sounds very romantic! doesnt it

My reaction is that its a nice fairy tale but probably written by someone very young and naive. Once so called 'love' bites you in the butt once or twice, and once you actually start your life over from scratch once or twice things look a whole lot different.

Sounds like several things:
1. You love him.
2. He loves you too but is scared of commitment.
You can wait it out until he matures...but realize that could take years...somehow I don't think you're willing to wait that long.

my reaction is to think it is kind of sweet, but i doubt his girlfriends reaction would be so kind!! Tell him he needs to either move on or leave his girlfriend-imagine how you would feel if you were his girlfriend?
If you want to be with him then tell him he needs to choose-but try to remember why you broke up in the first place!
