There are many things faster than light, but obviously, we cannot SEE them. Visible light is only a middling portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. There are many wavelengths of many energy types that are both faster and slower than light. Look up X-rays and infrared to read about examples. Microwaves and radio waves are other fun waves to study.

The presumption that light is the fastest thing in the universe is a presumption that comes from the fact that matter cannot move that fast, ever. We get particles pretty darned close in accelerators, but we are not there yet. Einstein dealt a lot with this, almost inferring that anything that could go that fast would have to be in energy form only. Still, just because matter cannot go as fast as light, doesn't mean that other energies can't. In this regard, the speed of light is just another speed.

As an atomic particle approaches the velocity of light, it decreases in length and increases in mass at such a rate that upon attaining the speed of light, it would have zero length and infinite mass. Therefore it would be nowhere and everywhere at the same time.

This may seem impossible, but your mind is nowhere (physically) and everywhere (wherever you go, there you are) at the same time.
