The Wall Street Journal is a major conservative newspaper.

Most dailies are either liberal or middle of the road moderate. Chicago Tribune would fit into this category. Used to be considered conservative, but they've toned that down some.

New York Times and Los Angeles Times have the reputation of being liberal. Ditto the Atlanta Journal and Constitution.

I would consider the Dallas Morning News moderate, the Denver Post liberal and a lot of weekly papers could lean toward conservative.

There are not many conservative newspapers, even though newspaper owner groups tend to be fairly conservative. Most journalism graduates tend to be liberal.

I'm a 1965 graduate of a Broadcast Journalism major at a Southwestern university and I tended to be a little bit liberal coming out of college. I have since become conservative.
