It really depends on the usage. Pikta sounds more feminine and more active. Piktu sounds cute but a little lazy somehow. Piktu could also be a Japanese cartoon character. Neither sounds scary so if it's supposed to be nasty space aliens, you'd better rethink it.

Pikta sounds better. But if it's for a sentence, it really depends on the context.
