Is she really famous because of her acting or is she famous because she's good looking? Plus having been married to someone voted "the Sexiest Man in the World" didn't hurt either.
Really when it comes to her acting I think she's pretty OK. There were a couple of movies it was nice to have her in because the familiar is comforting. But I would never want to watch her like Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock or say old Sharon Stone movies for that matter.

Yep, I certainly agree. never rated her as an actress, no longer even in buddies which I enjoyed. some movies i admire, yet she's nevertheless no longer that great in them. and that i'm probable on my own in this, yet i don't get the fuss over Meryl Streep. She's no longer Jennifer Aniston/Megan Fox undesirable yet she's no longer so stable as to need to win Oscars for her performances.

You can tell Yanshan's answer is biased just because Brad broke up with her. Let's be serious. She's a one dimensional TV actress that will never compete with an A-list movie actress such as Angelina as well as others. She only gets movies out of pity for her breakup. She was the weakest one on Friends and was only popular because she was with Brad.

Yes,she is over-rated.
I agree with Patient X, she's one dimensional & Angelina Jolie is
a better actress. I think it's stupid that girls & women don't like
Angelina just because she's with Brad and Jennifer is not.

Oh I certainly agree and what's bad is that she is so dingy. She came off as a dumb bimbo during the breakup with Brad Pitt She's a turn-off.

I think she gets all the attention partially because she is just another American girl... she is down to earth and "normal" to a degree... unlike some celebs who are just right down wierd (Angelina Jolie comes to mind).

i guess there are worse actreesses that are over-rated as well. So i guess this is balanced. I find her quite nice, actually. Not an oscar - winner, but still....
