why is it that a female will be called a slag for sleeping with many different partners yet a guy can w no tag

Because our society and media cater to men. Men are always seen as the ones who can "bring home the bacon" and be the better provider for the family while the women are expected to obey and serve the men because they are not "equal". Therefore men will not be scorned as much for having multiple partners. In English slang in the U.S. there are over 100 labels demeaning women but only around 20, give or take a few, that demean men.

This goes back to the really old times when inheiratance was passed along the lines of the mother. A woman of good quality was (for economic reasons) expected to save herself for her husband. It needed to be certain that the lineage passed from the proper male partner.

And with men, they get referred to as (maximum of the time) guy whores. yet I wager there are different words accessible that folk get referred to as.
