if the citizens were really a priority to the U. S. government that city would have been rebuilt by now. there are people still living and dying in shelters with not enough food and water and medical supplies. it is a pathetic sad look at reality in the U. S. and President Bush, "you suck. wake up and help your people" ........... from Lennerd ( * O * )!!!!

With Bush in the white house his priorities are fighting unjust war in Iraq the country will probably be rebuilt before the city of New Orleans. Bush was there for his typical photo opportunity for lack of leadership.

Its appalling, I agree with shyone, I was the first amongst family adn friends to say that if it happened in somewhere like conneticut the relief effort would have been so much better.
I found it so wrong that the govt reacted quicker and got help quicker to victims of the tsumani, this was on home soil for god sake, and the relief from overseas was so minimal cos we all assumed the mighty usa govt would look after its own, how wrong we were!
I have spent a lot of time in New Orleans and love the place and people, my heart was breaking for them when i watched them crying for basic help (sanitation, nappies , water) It breaks my heart to think they are still waiting for these things (now im crying)

Our government is too busy rebuilding other countries. They haven't hit oil in New Oreans yet. Don't count on the government helping poor people. The government has failed them. New Orleans will be rebuilt slowly by the people of Louisiana and private donors.

I heard that some parts of the city haven't had power restored yet! And that they continue to discover dead remains everyday! For this much time to have pasted without these things being dealt with in an appropriate manner is proof bush should not be in office!

I think it's sad. When it first happened I was the only one in my office who thought the government was so slow because the people were poor and black. This was just another example about how black people have been shafted throughout history. I didn't like Bush then and I still don't like him now.
