Did you know that they have done the math and if a stay at home wife and mother was actually paid real world compensation for her job she would earn over $100,000 a year? Besides it doesn't really matter what he thinks, the law dictates that she is entitled to half the assets, including the house. From this short paragraph I'm guessing the woman was unfaithful because she was obviously undervalued at home and got sick of it then she happens to meet someone who treats her like she's worth something and hubby is left in the dust! Happens all the time.

Okay you need lawyers help on this. Courts like the 50 - 50 split and that's it. With lawyers help you can work out or fight for the difference that you might want. Her walking away opens the door for other getting more. She will still get close to the 50% but a lawyer can help change that.
Just because the male paid the mortgage doesn't mean he gets the house. Marriage is 50 -50 and her raising the children at home is considered helping pay everything and I agree with that.

She is obligated to have the property, that's the law. What she did or didn't do does not matter. Your choice is to settle with her or spend a lot of money paying an attorney to end up at the same destination. I've seen way too many cases for the last 18 years to expect anything else. I assume the kids are all grown, so there aren't any custody issues to decide, but if there is, consider Bird Nesting. The home is given to the children, and they get joint custody of the parents. Each of you live with them for three weeks and you switch. I'm currently working with a couple setting up just such a program for their divorce in Kansas City. It was the custody arrangement that Ted Nugent had.

The woman has had a full time job - after all, you could have raised the children and she could have gone out to work...then would you think you're entitled to half.
Sort it out between yourselves because if the courts have to, you'll both be the losers.
Cost my ex and his wife 45,000 in legal fees or them both to get less than what they wanted in the first place.
Doesn't matter who did what - marriage is a joint venture not a prison sentence

dont matter she is still entitled to half as while in those 30 years she was bring up children she too could have been out earning ,and if they cant agree it will have to go to court and be decided who gets what by a judge or sell the lot and half the money .

as hurt as you are that she has wronged you this in no way should take away from her controbution to the marriage. you will get over the hurt at some point and when this comes you need to be able to get a long with this woman if you want happy kids and grandkids. you will see her forever if you both love your kids and as hard as it is focus on thier happiness and not your anger and hurt. if you have a daughter you will want to be there for the birth of her first child to see her happiness and you ex will too. if you have a son the day this boy marries his daddy is the only person who will get him through the nerves and give him the words of wisdo to get through having to live with a woman you want to be there for him and your ex will want to see his day too, so you need to allow yourself to heel

It really depends on the laws in the state where they live. Though she never got a salary, the woman's work in the home could be concidered of equal value. She gave him the freedom to work. Being it sounds unfriendly, they definately need to involve a mediator, lawyers and the court.

Hi, this is totally decided by the man belive it or not, it all depends on him.. What he really has to wonder, is if he has the balls to pay out for a good quality contract killing, im talking 10000 ish , no evidence, no body etc..... then he gets everything, and some justice.
