Could anyone define " Best Friend "?

any one could explain what friendship is??? what a best friend mean to our life??

Best friends don't lie to each other - they say it straight to your face and would never say "that shirt looks good on you" when it doesn't. They'll stick by you no matter what. They will never leave you when you need them the most and they're the ones that should know you as much as you know yourself. They will never make you feel unwanted.
They'll go that extra mile to make you smile and they know when you need your space. They would never be influenced by what other people think of you and they will never look down on you. They're the ones that are honest, trustworthy, optimistic and never blinded by your financial status or looks. They will love you for who you are and not who you're supposed to be. In other words. They make you feel SECURE.

Friends on the other hand come and go as they will forget you, ignore you and even hate you. Because friends are not as close as bestfriends are, they can lie or backstab you and you won't even know it. Friends sometimes may make you feel uncomfortable because sometimes you don't know what they're thinking about you and this sense of insecurity can lead to assumptions and misunderstandings.
Unlike bestfriends who will speak their mind and voice out their opinions and since you know what they're thinking in the first place... A problem rarely occurs. There may be the usual blunders among besties but since we know their characteristics very well... We don't get insulted or disgusted by it. That's how close one can be with a bestfriend. And, have a laugh at it at the end of the day.

It's when a friend starts twisting his words then things get complicated.

One thing's for sure... Friendship, like any other relationship has to be a two-way street. It's not a one man's job. It requires patience and cooperation of two parties to work. If you can't work together and refused to give in once in awhile. Why bother have friends? Friendship is when you are able to sacrifice anything and that person is willing to do the same. That's how friends grow to become besties.
It's just another life process.

I catch his eye and he smiles. And I feel so much love for him - it's insane, but I feel him looking back at me with nothing more than friendship…
My friend, he has laughed with me, cried with me, and despaired with me. He can look at me and have a whole conversation without moving his mouth once. When he saw me at my worst he always said, “You are the best!”. Yes, he kicked me in the a** (sorry!) and straightened me out when I was about to make a big mistake. He knows me inside out and he never has to ask - he already knows the answer. I can't play twenty questions with him because we already know the answer to every question. He stood by my side when I was having a hard time. He always forgave me, while he never expected an apology but always deserved the one. He covered for me to keep me out of serious trouble. I know he always needs me and misses me in times of need when I can't be there, but he knows I would be if it was possible. He is the one whom I may need most. I expect to always be there for him. He being my best friend, I can honestly say him ‘I love you, Friend’ and not think twice about how it was taken.

My defintion of best friend is someone you confide in. You are able to tell them things about yourself and they don't judge you. It could be someone you grew up w/as a child or someone you work with...etc. Best Friends are very important to our lives b/c you can tell them anything and they will give you an opinion.
