What's in the heart counts just as much, some would say even more, than what happens one-on-one. Carrying out a relationship with someone other than he or she you have promised yourself to is being unfaithful, regardless of the medium. Whether it's on the Internet, by phone, fax, text message, whatever - it is cheating. You're deluding yourself if you believe any different.

its just the idea of prefering the Net freind over the other person makes one untrue and not totally honest to the partner. U end up not capable of looking into his/her eyes. u end of only thinking about that Net freind.
Now Net freind though are only virtual i.e. u might never meet in ur life. However the good part of it is that u experiment and learn about people and in some cases they might be of help in you current ralationship. u channel what u learnt with ur gf/bf....

really, in the beginning of a relationship it's helpful to define "cheating." some people think that flirting with someone else is cheating. some people think they aren't even cheating if they kiss someone. but in my book, internet relationships are cheating. you don't have to be having sex with someone else to be unfaithful.
