Excellent question .. most excellent !
Cannot make a rational answer .. but there is such a thing as it(faith) being operant from a plane that is sensed as much truer than the reality of our plane .. and within that context can have an even stronger rationality .. unfortunately not one that can be readily pointed too..

Faith can't be rational. A very simple question can shake the foundations of faith. If God created the man then who created the God?
Religious people will answer this question like we can't understand it in this life, but probably we will know it in after-life, which is an irrational answer.
My answer to afore-mentioned question is, "Man created the God".

True faith has its foundation in reasoning. So faith has to be rational.

Yes-since Jesus teaches that we need to believe by faith and not by sight-many rational people believe in this.
If we don't have faith, what good is our religion or our beliefs?

No. Neither religion. God's power above everything, unlimited, borderless.
Can you count how big or wide is our universe? If you can determine exactly, faith can be rational.

I would say "no."
Webster's New World Dictionary defines
"faith" as "unquestioning belief, specifically in God" and
"rational" as "based on reasoning" (defined as "analyzing").
Unquestioning seems to me to preclude thinking about or analyzing. Faith is not irrational, but it is non-rational.
