Why do teenage girls always have to get pregnant?

Lack of proper education, lack of responsibility, or just lack of intelligence.

When the kids aren't taught from a young age the facts of life, they don't know what to expect. So sex isn't something that they think about beyond the moment. Contraceptives don't get used because they don't know where or how to get them. Or maybe they don't even know how to use them properly, so the condom (or whatever) doesn't do the job intended. It's up to the parents to raise their children with good morals and values. It's not the school's job nor should they be learning from their peers.

Sometimes the teens just think that they want a baby because it's so small and cute. They don't realize how expensive one is, how much time they will be giving up to care for one, what it will do to their bodies and social lives, and once it's there, it's there for life. They see a cute little baby to cuddle and dress up like a doll. It doesn't work that way.

While they don't always get pregnant, the ones that do I have pity for. They had no idea what they got themselves into. And they won't figure it out until it's too late.

I am 20 and currently 15 weeks pregnant and people still class me as a "teenager" so i will respond to this. I do agree with some of the comments that girls just get pregnant to get a council house and money (that seems to be the case in the uk anyway). I do however know that some of these girls got pregnant by accident, kept their jobs and got their own homes. I dont agree that it is lack of education or lack of intellegance at all, we are all given Sex Education lessons at school. Why is it always the teenage girls fault, did someone forget that someone had to provide the sperm to fertilise the egg. It takes two to tango and people should appreciate this.

I am 21 & had my first baby at 17... I know that i wasnt a sl*ut or a H*e, i was in a steady relationship and it was one time of it wont hurt if we dont use a condom because i am on the pill. Well how wrong was i, i feel pregnant... I dont think that it WAS a case of teenagers getting pregnant for any other reason other than they couldnt be bothered using contraception or they didtn think that once would hurt.... as for now i think that the reason so many teenage girls are getting pregnant is because of welfare and the benifits that go along with it..... & here in Australia the $4000 baby payment that you recieve when you have a baby is a HUGE incentive to get pregnant. the problem is that girls dont realise that it costs that and alot more to have a baby these days....

Now a days, teenage girls are always get pregnant because there are lots of reasons, like the place where she living, from the parent itself, in the community, the people sorround her and maybe cause of poverty.

We should bear in mind that teenager specially girls now a days are diffirent before, like now they want hung outs, with frens, go to disco or watching a movie, and they are particular with thier looks. The most important is the parents itself its their obligation to guide, support their children, check and give some advice in order thier children go straigth to make a better person, but if the parents have no time and concern about there daughter/ son it makes bad impression to the them,then the girls may go to his boyfriend or find a person who can understand her.

Some of the reasons why teenage girls get pregnant its because they seen an ex-rated movie and even in the magazine and they are eager to know what sex is? to oppesite sex and they are trying to find out how to do that.

They don't have to get pregnant. Sometimes it's an accident and other times they want to just to fill some kind of void they have in their lives. I think mainly though that the reason why this happens so often is the lack of sex education. Sure teenagers know how to have sex and they know different positions and so on but they don't fully understand the responsibilities that come along with an unplanned pregnancy because no one has taken the time to teach that to them and if anyone did it wasn't enough. Then again everything happens for a reason, so who am I to say that is the reason why this happens... it is only what I believe.

Because a good portion of the teenage girls parents dont speak to them about sex and sexual contact.
A lot of parents now days say that if you allow your teenage daughter to go on birthcontrol pills or give your son condoms you are saying its ok. But they dont understand that there child will do this regardless of what there parents feel about them having sex.
So there for these girl go out and have sex and end up getting pregnant. And guess what now these parents get to raise there Child and there grandchild all because they didnt want to "ok" sex.

Get your children on birth control and give them condoms people.
Explain to them why it is important to use them if the think they are ready for sex.

not all teenagers get pregnant. i know some "adults" who have sex and fall pregnant accidently. Just because ur an adult, or ur married does not make u any wiser. Sex is sex... u either get pregnant or u dont... so stop judging the teens. u adults are just as incapable with irresponsible at times just like any other teenager on the planet.
