if you needed this service, where someone comes to stay in your home, look after house and pets, carry out small amount of domestic work and upkeep security of property; how much would you be prepared to pay? I have over 10 years of experience of doing this for friends and colleagues but now in a position to do it full time.

do some research by calling local businesses that offer similar services, as rates vary considerably between rural and metro areas...i live rural and its usually 10 bucks a day

My mother does this in south Africa. She supplements her pension. I don't think you could make a living from it. Taking into account the exchange rate and the different economies, £10 a day sounds a bit low, but of course, it depends on how many other people offer the service.

i would say about $10-$20 a day, depending on the number pf pets and what you would have to do. like for just a cat, $10 because they are easy, fill the food, water, and scoop. dogs $15, fill the food, water, and walk. multiple animals ect. more $.

but thats what i would charge here in TN. in a bigger city you would brobably charge more.

I couldn't live without a wage of at least £50 a day, work out what you need to live and don't do yourself short, either that or phone up your competition for a quote as a guide
