As Einstein postulated gravity moves as a waves ,so where does the graviton fit in?

If its a wave the graviton is not a particle that moves at the speed of light does it?

Gravitons are the messenger particles that carry the gravitational force. Because of wave-particle duality, we can never really know whether gravity is a wave or a particle. Gravity either behaves like a wave or it behaves like a particle. In the latter case it can be referred to as a graviton.

Gravity seems to be a field. Fluctations in any field are called waves. Gravitons have never been proven, disproven or discovered. At this time, I feel they are axiomatic, that is, a self-evident truth which cannot be proven or disproven.

A graviton would be a full cycle of a wave, the smallest unit possible and still be a way. Such as a 360 degree representation of a sine wave.

Assuming that Gravity truely is a distortion of space and time by mass, then I postulate that gravity is only 1/2 a full wave, with an infinite wavelength, since it only attracts objects to the center of gravity of an object. This does not mean that gravitons and gravity waves do not exist.

The speed of gravity waves is unknown. They are not detered by matter, energy,or time. It goes through a black hole, and even through the event horizon of a black hole (where time has theoretically stopped), as though they were not there. Only space (distance) reduces the intensity of gravity.

BTW, with regards to your previous question about the speed of light, since the speed of light is the only true constant we have with regards to speed. The point of reference is is always from the observer, and the speed is always the same, Irregardless if the point of reference. Think of it this way, there are only 2 categories of speed, the speed of light, and not the speed of light. Massless objects have no inertia, and accellerate to the speed of light instantly. They have no inertia and it takes zero energy for them to reach the speed of light. Objects with mass take an infinite amount of energy to reach the speed of light, so always travel at less than speed of light.

General relativity is a classical theory - that is, it is smooth down to the smallest scales.

The waves that arise in general relativity are solutions to the field equations that describe the relationship between stress-energy (basically the amount of matter and energy in a volume of space and how it is moving) and the curvature of space-time.

The static solutions to this are the ones we are used to - apples falling from trees etc. However, there are also wave like solutions to these equations. These describe how the effects of say a binary star rotating about a common point propogate through the universe.

There is a basic assumption by many if not most physicists that a quantum theory of gravity is needed, and certainly general relativity needs to be reconciled with quantum mechanics which is not at all smooth to the smallest levels.

In the standard model of quantum mechanics all of the other known forces are associated with force carrying particles. These so called virtual particles (virtual because they cannot be observed directly) are exchanged between two particles interacting via the force.

The graviton is the proposed force carrying particle for gravity that would make it like the other forces. It is not well understood at a theoretical level, and has never been observed. But it would make things neat and tidy.
