make sure the vender you are buying from is dependable and safe. you can go get a money order

I've always had good luck with PayPal, whether I use credit card or a bank account.

Most of the Banks are operating on-line accounts for their customers.
You can send an advice to your Bank for making a transaction in the name of someone else's account giving full particulars i.e. name, account # and Bank branch/code etc.
