1. Yes, be empathetic.

2. In spite of that, expect them to act with responsibility.

3. Everyone has some kind of childhood luggage we'd rather have left at the train. But, as adults we search to learn ways to cope & deal with problems.

4. You can be forgiving for one time mishaps, but if it's a track record with this person, extricate them from your social list.

that person would definitely have more challenges in life that's for sure..
Brings up that whole Nurture vs Nature debate..
I think the stronger independent type would tend to rise above their situation, ie a wolf.
The sheep type would tend to follow into the craziness.
So put into the same situation.. would you forgive the wolf? or the sheep?
It depends on the individual.. on how forgiving I would be to them.

Depends on what you mean crazy. Are you talking about crazy as in a mental case or just crazy as you see them as parents?

Depends on the circumstances I guess. But people cant go around blaming their parents or society or their ancestors forever. Sooner or later they have to get over it and fight back.

To a point. There comes a time when one must take responsibility for ones actions and stop blaming others. That is when one is truly an adult.

NOt really, unless the circumstances caused enough trauma to warrant him needing a psychiatrist, or if its a genetic disorder and he's been diagnosed with the same disease.
