Doesn't it seem like almost everyone who is called the next Jordan just turns out to be nothing?
Everybody keeps looking for the next Jordan and don't just accept that it's not going to happen. All good thngs must come to an end but people don't like that.

I could see where you are coming from. There have been dozens of players that had that title "next Jordan" like Harold Miner a.k.a. Baby Jordan or even today's players Kobe, D-Wade, LeBron etc. The one thing you gotta remember is that Jordan practically revolutionized todays game and I wouldn't exactly say everyone is copying Jordan but todays guards that have that caliber of scoring, defending, charisma, dedication, and flat out love for the game will remind anyone of Jordan. Jordan is the greatest player that the NBA ever saw, and right now the league is just full of guards that have that type of game but no one has really taken that crown as the best in the league. Maybe Kobe or D-Wade but Jordan will always be Jordan.

Basically just about anybody who were touted to be the next somebody will turn out to disappoint. Be it Larry Bird, Magic, Michael Jordan, heck, we all know that there will be only one Kobe Bryant, because that's the way life is. There is no curse.

Take LeBron, when he was still a rookie, people compare him to Magic Johnson. That was until they realize that he is playing in Cleveland, no one in that team can make an open three to save his life. So by the second year they stop this, because LeBron, is just LeBron. Pantheon guys reach their level of play because his path took him there, be it the right coach, the right team, etc, it is all a process. If one which has the potential (take Kobe for instance), and went through a different path (playing in say...Clippers instead of Lakers at the beginning of his formative year, or just having him stay in school and goes to college winning the final four in the process). That would make him a different player than he is today (more mature for one thing). I agree all good things must come to an end, but better things might come along the way. Just in a different way.

D-wade is the next micheal jordan. He has a championship under his belt and he's getting better, he's leading the USA team to a gold medal. I think it might be because of his faith that bring him through. He took that miami heat on his back and he took them to a championship past arguably a dynasty in the detriot pistons and then won the NBA championship. There is no jordan curse just like there is no madden curse

theres never gonna be another jordan just like there will never be another kobe or lebron. they're all individuals. I mean, even twins can't play ball the same way, right?
